Colossal Cave 550 ("we", "our", or "us") is a text adventure game. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

Information We Collect

• Game progress: your saved game is stored locally on your device using browser storage (localStorage). It is never transmitted to or stored on our servers — we have no account system and no backend database.
• Advertising identifiers: in the Android app, Google AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as your Advertising ID) and usage data to serve and measure interstitial ads, subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

We do not require or collect any account information, email address, or other personally identifiable information to play this game.

How We Use Information

• To save and restore your game progress locally on your device.
• To show an interstitial ad via Google AdMob (Android app only) at natural pause points — specifically, when you save your game.

Data Sharing

We do not sell or share personal information. The only third party involved is Google AdMob, which independently collects device/usage data for ad serving per its own privacy policy.

Data Retention

Your saved game stays on your device until you overwrite it, clear your browser/app storage, or uninstall the app. We keep no server-side copy to retain or delete.

Children

Colossal Cave 550 is intended for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Your Choices

• Uninstalling the app, or clearing your browser's site data, removes all locally stored save data.
• You can opt out of personalized advertising in your device's settings (Android: Settings → Google → Ads).
